TAKE APART & DISCOVER the secrets of electronics!

A hands-on workshop for young people (ages 9–18) together with adults!

Maybe you’ve also had that itch to unscrew something… a radio? Or perhaps a hairdryer, mixer, or bedside lamp?And you, dear adult – when was the last time you took something apart just out of curiosity?

This is your chance to take electrical devices apart and explore them piece by piece! Join the workshop created by IDEAL MISTAKES HUB, where you’ll be able to DISASSEMBLE used household appliances and discover HOW they WORK!

What’s the plan?

• We’ll go through basic safety rules before getting started• Together, we’ll take apart several non-working devices of the same type (tools will be provided!)

• Knowledgeable RTU student Lindards Reinis Rozītis will explain what’s inside and how the devices work• We’ll use creative thinking and brainstorm how to give these devices a second life

• From the disassembled parts, we’ll create something creative to take home!

🔧 One device per family for disassembly

We especially invite dads, older brothers, uncles, ladies, and all curious adults to join.Recommended age for youth participants: 9–18, but we are open to children of different ages depending on their interest in engineering.

🦺 Safety glasses and gloves will be provided for both children and adults!

Workshop organizers and facilitators do not take responsibility for any injuries during the workshop (participants must sign to confirm they will follow safety instructions).

Until 14:30 – Food, drinks, and time in Branku Brančotava’s spacious outdoor area

Tickets

Family ticket: 35.00 € (1 adult + 1 child)Additional participant: 10.00 € (please note – one device per family)

Children up to 4 years (inclusive): free entry(participation in activities is NOT included, but a cozy corner with beanbags and a drawing table will be available)

• The event takes place indoors

• Outside food and drinks are not allowed (water will be provided)

• Limited number of tickets

• Video surveillance may be in operation during the event
